Madison- Last year I was Mad's coach. It is much more enjoyable to watch and cheer for her from the sidelines. Her division plays on a bigger field and makes for a more entertaining (although not as comical) game to watch. Real Soccer. She is a force on her team. She would rather play defense but she has scored a couple of times this season. The only thing that she needs to work on is her slide-tackling, which is frowned on (and carded) in the older division. She loves to play but makes a GREAT cheerleader at her brother and sisters games too.

Brigham- He isn't sure if he's playing soccer or tackle football. This kid is aggressive. He started out frustrated and uncoordinated but he is really turning into a good little player. He has learned to accept that the other team might score but he still doesn't like it. We think that he has probably come the farthest skill-wise this half of the season. He likes us to yell, "Go number 5!" He also spends half of his time on the field giving us thumbs up! This video shows how dad signals to his to keep his eye on the ball (instead of us).
Brinlee- Wow! We were taken aback by the aggressive nature of our girliest girl. The first game she came off the line like a crazy woman and played hard till the whistle blew. Lately her team has smoked their opponents so hard that this last game came as quite a shock when they actually had some competition. Brinlee was not happy. After the other team scored (again) Brinlee proceeded to sit on the ball and would not give it up even when the opposing team's coach asked her very nicely for it. When she finally heard me screaming from the sidelines that she better fork it over she chucked it the other way. Maybe sports aren't a healthy outlet for her. She sure likes oranges though.

And last but not least Em- For the first 4 games of the season she would only play the first 2-3 minutes of the game and come off the field crying. I think that it was all just too much stimulation with everyone pushing and kicking and yelling from the sidelines. She couldn't handle it. At home practicing in the yard with the fam she couldn't be stopped but she just lost it on game day. The 4th game of the season, when we had tried everything from bribery to guilt tripping to get her out on the field, her good coach held her hand and played the whole game with her that way. She's been a force ever since. She moves faster than anyone else on the team and she's always in the action.
