The kids & I spending a rockin' good day at Bear Lake

I can't believe summer's over! Man I hate to see all of our carefree, schedule-less, fun in the sun days of summer come to an end but I have to say that we didn't take it for granted. We were on a mission to shove as much fun into one summer as we possibly could and I think that we succeeded. We went to Lagoon at least once a week. We hit Bear Lake (which my kids love) three times. We saw quite a few fireworks (Steven was supposed to take us to 6 sets but I can only think of 5 that we made it to. Tsk Tsk!). We got to check out Grandpa & Grandma Maughan's new cabin in Island Park and spend some rockin' fun times with the fun loving Maughan clan. We got to go real camping (I'm talking in a tent) a couple of times. We swam at Grandma Jones' pool and resurrected our inflatable slide for one more season (always a crowd pleaser). Grandma Lisa hosted quite a few sleep-over nights, including one for each of the kids all by their selves. Sheer Heaven!! Daddy took a few days off to watch the kids while I went to girls camp. I totally thought that he would jump all over some home repair type of project and leave the kids watching T.V. for a couple of days but I was totally floored to come home to a completely spotless house (I mean, he cleaned under the fridge and stove for me-which kinda ticked me off) and reports of having so much fun! He took them to the Hill Air Blah Blah museum (He knows he has to go there with out me. I hate that place!) and to Lagoon and they had all kinds of fun. He is a really good dad. S'mores, backyard camp outs, watermelon, and just spending time together filled up the gaps and we really loved it. Here are some pictures to prove how much fun that we had together this summer.

I finally did it!!

We finally have a blog!! I am so proud of myself. It's not cool or anything (Yet!!) but it will do. We are just trying to get back into the swing of things here in West Point. All of the kids will be in some sort of school by next week and then what will I do with myself? Our schedule only got worse since last year (if you can believe it). We really don't do that much stuff as far as lessons and things go, but somehow between trying to volunteer in all of the kids classes, soccer for four kids, gymnastics, dance, carpool, watching neighbor kids so that they will watch mine so that I can volunteer, my mysterious womens group (its not really mysterious but my sisters-in-law thought that it was some kind of group therapy), my calling, stevens calling, homework, dinner... It just seems to go on and on. Not to mention we will be adding another member to our family in about 7 weeks. Just when we finally get this schedule down, he is going to come along and really shake things up!! HE doesn't have a name yet (those of you who know us well, know how super bad we are at naming our children) but our kids could not be more excited. I really thought that we told them so early on in my pregnancy that a. we jinxed it and something was bound to go horribly wrong or b. they were going to get super bored of hearing about some phantom baby that was all some kind of sick joke that was never really going to come true. That has not been the case. Thankfully! Anyway, I know I will be bad at this, but I will try to post at least a portion of our goings on because I really love to see all of your blogs and keep in touch at least a little bit this way. Until next post... Bye!
