Baby laughing is so contagious!

I had to share this sweet video of Mason and Brin. She's half knocking the wind out of him but he seems to like it. I missed the part where he was really giggling hard, but lucky me I get to hear it almost everyday. He might not ever let me live it down that he is laying on an obviously girl blanket. When you're fifth in line you take what you can get buddy. If some very nervous nellys (grandma lisa, aunt lindy) hadn't been there he probably wouldn't have gotten a blanket at all.

Super Good Times at the Island Park Cabin

Holy cow where do I start? We had so much fun at the cabin in Island Park. I thought that it wouldn't be as fun to be there in the winter as it would be in the summer but man was I wrong.

Sorry these pics are a little crazy. I have never been much good with a timer.

Emilee out in all of her cute Rossi gear.

Steve and Mase chillin'

Brinlee (always the last one out of bed)

Mase on his usual perch.

Enjoying some hot cocoa!

Steve did coax me out onto the sleds. It was way funner than I thought. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. What a fun way to spend the day.

That's dad pulling the kids behind the 4-wheeler on the sled.

Island Park Village Resort sweet seventies indoor pool. Swimming and Sledding in one day??? It doesn't get any better than that!

The third day we were there Brig got way sick and puked all day long. He didn't miss the bowl once. He missed out on everything all day but rebounded just in time to go swimming in the evening.

Uncle Clint and Aunt Amber on Mason watch.

As is cabin tradition... there was way good food, way good company which equals way good times! Thanks for coming with us and making it such a fun trip.

Brig was so tired he fell asleep sitting straight up in a wooden chair.

Shawnee relaxing in the comfier?-than-it-looks rocking chair

Grandpa and Brin playing a game.

Mad even got in some good Lego time. Thanks again Bob and Karleen. It was a much needed weekend of relaxation.

Can you believe it???

One more Maughan hooked on the DS. Cute, cute!!

March Madness

Em's preschool is sooo fun in the month of March. They had "What do you want to be when you grow up?", dress-up day (she was a chef), a field trip to the swimming pool, and on Monday they have dress-up like your favorite fairy-tale character day (she's going to be the princess and the pea). I can't believe the year is almost over!!!

She had to wear make-up on career day because she will be an adult when she grows up!! And did you see the stud muffin who got to go swimming with us??? Woot - woo!!!

Mad's birthday party

Grandma Lisa and I took 9 giggly girls to the spa for a little pampering and relaxation. I forgot my camera so I have to figure out (i.e. Steve has to figure out) how to get the pics off of my phone before I can show you just how cute they were. After we came back here for presents and cake and ice cream and jumping on the tramp with punching balloons. We had a great time and more importantly birthday time is over. If anyone even mentions the word "birthday" to me before it's time for Mas to turn 1 I might flip out. It was fun while it lasted but lots and lots and lots of work and $$$. I am starting to like Bob and Janet's idea of only doing birthday parties every few years. (That is in no way a binding agreement Steven.)

Mad's Baptism

Our big girl turned eight! She woke up and had her bed made and had eaten breakfast before anyone else even peeped an eye open. She was soooooo excited and she asked every 5 minutes if it was 1:00 yet. 7-1 can be a very, very, very, very long time. She looked so beautiful in her white jumper and her white dress. The whole thing was wonderful. The talks, prayers, songs, everything was great. We are so proud of her and we know that she is happy too. Thanks everyone for the great gifts, yummy food, wonderful company and love and support. We have the best family & friends in the whole world.

It's Great to be Eight!!

I know I'm a few days late with Maddie's birthday post but her birthday is all over the map this year. She got her gift from Grandma and Grandpa Jones two weeks ago (because she chose to get it when the other kids got theirs) she got her card from Grandma Bennett on Friday, she got sung to by the primary with all the other Maughan kids on Sunday and we had a birthday dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Jones and Uncle Clint stopped by too. We haven't sent back her birthday packet to school yet because she hasn't had time to fill it out and her birthday party is on Friday and so I decided to do this post right in he middle of everything (and also when I could steal 5 min. to do it)!

Happy Eighth Birthday Mad!

I can't believe you are eight already! Dad was just commenting how in eight more years you'll be driving. Yikes!! That is so crazy. We are so proud of what a wonderful little girl you have turned into in these past eight years, and we know that you will continue to be wonderful in the next eight. Madison is such a funny, talented, kind hearted little girl. At the little kids' birthday party she was such a great help. She was the one to try to get the kids who were feeling left out, to participate and she kept the conversation going when no one knew what to say. She never complains about fulfilling her big sister duties if you tell her how much her brothers and sisters look up to her and love her and it is true. They really do. All the kids want to sleep on Maddies floor when they are scared and they love it when she reads to them which she loves to do. Mad is getting so big so fast and we are just happy for the time she gets to spend with our family. She is crazy when she is at home and the most comfortable. Thanks Mad for being a good example to your brothers and sisters and to dad and I. You are an adorable little girl and we couldn't ask for a better daughter. You're the best!
